Vanderpump Rules' Ariana Madix Encourages Raquel Leviss to "Make Mistakes" in Must-See Preview

This advice hasn't aged well.
In a new preview for Vanderpump Rules' March 8 episode, Ariana Madix recalls offering newly single Raquel Leviss some words of wisdom that have taken on new meaning given the recent rumors of her alleged months-long affair with Ariana's now-ex Tom Sandoval.
While bikini shopping, the former BFFs recount the bombshell Raquel dropped about Katie Maloney's ex-husband Tom Schwartz on VPR's March 1 episode.
"I could not believe what you told Katie last night, that you asked Schwartz if he wanted to make out," Ariana tells her co-star in the sneak peek. "I was like, 'Am I about to be mad at Raquel for the first time?'"
In a confessional, Ariana explains her and Katie's efforts to get Raquel back on the dating scene after she and James Kennedy called off their engagement last season.
"We've been encouraging Raquel, 'Get out there, make mistakes, go crazy!'" Ariana says. "But then when she says she asked Schwartz to make out with her, it's like, 'OK, but not like that.'"
Of course, Ariana's words of wisdom seemingly came before Raquel is rumored to have started an alleged affair with Tom, causing him and Ariana to break up last week after nine years together.
Raquel admits that she feels remorse for hitting on her friend's ex in the clip, adding, "For a moment I felt like it was unfair for Katie to determine who Schwartz can hang out with or make out with. But after seeing the way that she responded last night, I felt really, really bad."
Bravo fans now know Raquel moved on from one Tom and onto the other, with both stars breaking their silence on the Scandoval drama and apologizing to Ariana in March 8 statements.
"I made mistakes, I was selfish, and made reckless decisions that hurt somebody I love. No one deserves to feel that pain so traumatically and publicly," Tom wrote on Instagram. "I can only imagine how devastating this has been for Ariana and everyone around us. I feel really horrible about that. My biggest regret is that I dishonored Ariana. I never meant to disappoint so many people, including our loving families and friends."
As for Raquel, she admitted to seeking counseling in her statement, adding, "I want to apologize for my actions and my choices foremost to Ariana, and to my friends and the fans so invested in our relationships. There is no excuse, I am not a victim and I must own my actions and I deeply regret hurting Ariana."
Since the Tom-Ariana breakup news broke on March 3, her VPR co-stars have rallied around her in support and spoken out against Tom and Raquel on social media. As for Ariana, she has not publicly commented on the split or affair allegations.
Vanderpump Rules airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
